Hexen II

Raven Software, 1997 · First-person shooter

Raven's own Win32 source as released in 2000: glh2.exe on WGL, its OpenGL drawn through WebGL.

Arguments

-window keeps it in a window (gl_vidnt.c would otherwise ask for a fullscreen mode the page cannot give); -nomidi skips the music, which has no MIDI device to play on here.

They go in this page's address, so a link to it starts the program the same way.

PRISM's log
What PRISM says while it runs the program shows here once it is playing.

Needs data1/ from your copy: the page asks for your copy, a folder or a .zip, and reads it where it is; nothing is uploaded.

It needs a keyboard, and most games take the mouse too.

⚠️ Licence

Raven's own 2000 source release holds the GPL (gnu.txt) and also an Activision source-code EULA, with no licence in the files themselves. Its build is offered here under the GPL, as Debian and the source ports have done since; no Hexen II data is. If you hold rights to it and object, open an issue at github.com/jfrelat-lab/prism/issues and the build comes down.
